Aldeburgh Museum
Located in the Moot Hall on the seafront, the museum contains a lot of information about Aldeburgh and, what was, neighbouring Slaughden.
Sutton Hoo
Owned by the National Trust and situated near Woodbridge just off the A12, it contains the remains of a Viking burial ground.
Long Shop Museum
Steam museum housed in part of the factory where the famous Richard Garrett steam engines were produced in Leiston main street.
East of England Transport Museum
Located just south of Lowestoft at Carlton Colville the museum contains trams, buses and trolley buses, all available for rides.
Ipswich transport Museum
Situated in an old Trolley Bus Depot on the north side of Ipswich, it is reputably the largest of its type dedicated to a single town
Easton Farm Park
Just outside Wickham Market, the farm has lots of animals, including Suffolk Punch horses and lots of activities for the kids.
Snape Maltings
The location of the world famous concert hall. Lovely situation alongside the River Alde with lots of interesting shops and good walks.
Orford
Small seaside town a few miles south of Aldeburgh with a very attractive Norman Keep. Boat trips available from the key, including trips to the RSPB reserve at Havergate Island and cruises along the Ore and Alde on board the Lady Florence.
Southwold
A lovely seaside town north of Aldeburgh and home to the Adnams Brewery. Lots of nice shops, a good beach and an attractive pier.
Minsmere
Large RSPB reserve containing many varieties of seabirds. There is a good shop, restaurant, many hides and some lovely walks.
Ipswich
Historic market town with some very interesting old buildings. A good variety of shops including Lakeland which is located in the Old Ancient House - a visit is a must, for the building as well as the shopping!
Bawdsey
A pretty little village on the mouth of the River Deben. Lots of boats to watch and hire with a nice little cafe. Catch the ferry across the river to Felixstowe Ferry where there is another cafe, 2 pubs and a smokerie. Also close by is Bawdsey Radar Station which is open to the public on selected dates throughout the summer.
Suffolk Punch Trust
Located at Hollesley Bay, bear Orford. Lots of Suffolk Punch Horses, retired racehorses, a couple of black pigs and some Redpol cattle. Also contains a very interesting museum dedicated to the Suffolk Punch. Nice little teabar and friendly staff.
Cold War Museum
At Bentwaters, near Woodbridge, includes aircraft used in the cold war and includes the history of the USAF twin bases of Bentwaters and Woodbridge, home of the 81st TFW.

Jimmy's Farm
As seen on TV, the farm contains lots of animals, a butterfly house and a nature walk. There is also a shop selling farm produce and a cafeteria.
Baylham House Farm
A rare breeds farm situated just off the A14, north of Great Blakenham, west of Ipswich. Lots of pigs, goats, cows, sheep and poultry, with shop, cafe and picnic area. Ideal for kids.
Stoneham Barns
Situated on the A1120 "tourist route". This complex contains a raptor centre, lots of craft shops and a restaurant.
